The Work
This position is for a First Line Manager for IRAD projects
developing core simulation and training capabilities in partnership
with commercial gaming engines. Responsibilities include
coordinating recruitment, developing training plans, working with
employees to develop career plans and employee performance
monitoring and reviews.
As an Integrated Engineering Manager, you will be expected to
facilitate the deployment and use of best practices, tools, and
processes on our programs and work with the cross-functional
stakeholders to ensure projects are staffed properly and the
organization's staff is meeting all business commitments.
The selected individual will also be responsible for guiding the
team through a cultural transformation from classical engineering
groups to an Integrated Engineering team with a specific focus on
maintaining Systems Engineering methodologies among IRAD and other
non-traditional teams. The desired candidate will champion systems
engineering rigor and product development process compliance
throughout the product lifecycle. They should bring innovative
ideas that influence the broader Engineering tenets while aligning
activities for efficient and successful systems engineering
methodology using Agile and Model Based engineering techniques.

Basic Qualifications:
--- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related
engineering discipline, with 9 years or more of professional
experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related
Master's degree
--- Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with
the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
--- Knowledgeable in Systems Engineering Processes and Tools
--- Strong communication and organizational skills
--- Experience planning and coordinating systems/software/hardware
development in a team-oriented environment
--- Proficiency applying System Modeling Languages and frameworks
(SysML, UML, DODAF, UPDM, or similar language), and experience
developing key artifacts and stakeholder review
--- Experience applying the Vee Process Model to fully develop and
integrate a complex system
Desired Skills:
--- Thorough understanding of program, functional, and process
metrics including Earned Value Management (EVM)
--- Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM)
--- Prior experience in the development, integration, and
deployment of training systems
--- Leveraged Agile tenets in the execution of the development of
software intensive systems, inclusive of driving development of
Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware, and Test
Engineering work products including usage of Atlassian tool
suite
--- Prior customer engagement experiences requiring communication
of technical concepts to external stakeholders
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government
security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee
selected for this position will work part of their work schedule
remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed
during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate
work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our
employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day
work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules
provide employees with additional time away from the office and are
in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
