The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Saddle Stitch Operator to work at a company located in the Jacksonville, FL area!Job TitleSaddle Stitch OperatorPosition LocationJacksonvillePay/hours for position$18-30/ hr/ 6:00 AM-6:00 PM/ 6:00 PM-6:00 AMRequirements of positionRequirements: Required Skills and Abilities:Previous Stitcher Binder experience requiredAbility to meet quality expectations and productivity metricsMust be able to read and understand a job ticket, layout sheet, artwork and other specificationsEffective communications skills with all levels within the organizationAbility to use basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measurements and critical thinking, to solve practical problemsMust have the ability to work effectively in stressful situations and meet stringent deadlinesBe organized and able to plan, prioritize and follow through on projects assigned with minimal supervisionMust be self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety orientedResponsibilities of positionEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Operate machine effectively and safely according to standards to ensure a quality productReads and understands the job ticket, layout sheet, artwork, and other specifications before beginning assigned jobMake-ready the stacker, tiers, mail head, mail controlMake-ready and run all aspects of the saddle stitcher (pockets, gatherer, stitcher heads, in feed, trimmer, mail table and mail head, etc.)Make-ready and run demographic and inkjetSupport material handlers during continuous and self-supported running (including mail-sacking, skid stacking, pocket filling, cover filling, etc.) and give work direction during downtime and clean-upResponsible for promoting, enforcing and sustaining Safety and look for ways to improve the operationCommunicate with Supervisors on any problems developing to help determine the best time to correct and prioritizePerforms routine and preventive maintenance on all assigned equipmentKeep ongoing list of maintenance issues to be addressedEnsures compliance with all applicable OSHA and EPA federal and state rules, regulations, policies and guidelines and Company safety rulesFacilitate teamwork on crews and between shiftsThe JobSquad Solutions Team is made up of experts around the country.
