OverviewHalifax Health - Hospice is seeking a Financial Clerk II for the Finance Department.SummaryThe Financial Clerk II will process payroll and mileage for all Hospice employees. Enters billing and physician charges for Palliative care. Process Hospice supportive care billing. Provide backup coverage for Fund Development Specialist. Job QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent required.Sufficient experience to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the position responsibilities.Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel, Kronos, Netsmart and Athena.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnters all payroll submissions from Hospice PCCs and Managers for Hospice into Kronos. Sends out weekly time card reports and finalizes payroll. Tracks FMLA and processes payroll corrections.Calculates Mileage/Toll expenses biweekly for all Hospice employees. Prepares Mileage report and submits to payroll for upload into Kronos.Process all Palliative Care billing and enters charges for providers into Athena billing system along with insurance information. Prepares and processes all Hospice patient supportive care billing. Assist with daily admissions to identify patients admitted into nursing home, have commercial payers for Hospice core services, transfers and re-admits.Train and act as back up for the fund development specialist.
