Maintenance Technician – JLL What this job involves: As a Sr
Facilities Maintenance Te chnician, you will use your skills to
support the Operations team by o perating , inspecting, and
maintaining all HVAC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment
and systems in assigned facilities to obtain the most efficient
operating results. You will ens ure that equipment is being
maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner, and down time is
reduced by completing preventative maint en ance and anticipati ng
and executing n ecessary repairs in advance of failure . You will p
erform inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and
exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures,
roofing systems, lighting, etc. In addition to developing your
skills, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians
to develop their roles. You will work as part of an engineering
team of 10 at multi - building client property managed 24/7 by JLL.
Wh at your day-to-day will look like: Maintain, operate , and
repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical
distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building
interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to
assigned buildings. Perform assigned facility inspections and due
diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting
satisfactory client occupancy and operations. Respond effectively
to all emergencies. Prepare and submit to management summary
reports listing conditions found in the performance of assigned
work, and recommend and/or suggest action to be taken. Study and
become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the
methods to use them properly, that are in every day activities.
This includes building automation systems, fire / life safety
systems, and any other building related equipment. Comply with all
safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work
areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to
eliminate them. Maintain compliance to State, County, or City
Ordinances, Codes, or Laws. Must be willing and able to support any
after hours building related activity as . Attend periodic training
seminars. Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically
expected of the Mobile Engineer role. Candidate will be provided
tools to perform assigned work scope. Must be able to respond to
after-hours site emergencies. Required Qualifications: Experience
leading and developing maintenance technicians. Must possess and
maintain a valid state driver’s license Ability to visually inspect
machinery and buildings. Ability to frequently walk up and down
stairs for inspections and emergency procedure practice or
implementation. Working from heights and ability to lift up to 50
lbs. Ability to detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual.
Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder,
carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate a motor vehicle
Equipment inspections require getting on hands and knees to reach
areas difficult to access. High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to work in a team and independently. Must be able to
communicate effectively with our customers, contractors and
co-workers. Must possess (4) years of technical experience in all
aspects of building engineering with a strong background in
technical aspects of machinery, plumbing, electrical, equipment
repair and maintenance. Must be proficient using computers &
software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, etc.
Preferred Qualifications: Trades schooling in electrical system
design, refrigeration and HVAC preferred CMMS experience At JLL, we
