Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher
of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the
Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A part-time teaching
opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
with Orientation & Mobility certification to support K-12 students.
This contract position offers approximately 10-15 hours per week
across two days, running from ASAP through May 29, 2026. The
assignment is located in Apopka, FL, serving students within the
K-12 grade range. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized
instruction and support to students who are visually impaired,
addressing both academic and mobility needs. Develop and implement
individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student
requirements. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and
related service providers to ensure cohesive educational support.
Utilize orientation and mobility techniques to enhance student
independence and safety. Maintain accurate records and progress
reports according to district standards. Qualifications and
Experience: Valid Educator Certification with a specialization as a
Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI). National Certification for
Orientation & Mobility (O&M) is required. Experience working
with K-12 students in a special education setting. Strong
communication and collaboration skills to engage with diverse
stakeholders. Ability to manage a caseload with individualized
