Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. An elementary school in Gainesville, GA, is seeking a
Special Education Teacher for a contract position from February 23,
2026, through May 20, 2026. This role requires expertise in
managing self-contained adaptive classrooms and working effectively
with students displaying challenging behaviors in a behavioral
setting. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction
within a self-contained adaptive classroom environment. Implement
individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
Manage classroom behavior consistently while fostering a positive
learning atmosphere. Complete required restraint training and apply
techniques when necessary to ensure student safety. Collaborate
with school staff, families, and specialists to support student
progress. Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance
with school policies. Qualifications: Active Georgia Professional
Standards Commission (GaPSC) teaching license in Special Education.
Prior experience in special education, particularly in behavior
settings. Ability and willingness to complete restraint training.
Strong communication and classroom management skills. Commitment to
student growth and inclusive education. Location: Gainesville, GA
(Elementary School) Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, onsite only
