Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for Structural Analysis
Engineers (Principal or Senior Principal) to join our team of
qualified, diverse individuals. Positions are located onsite in
Melbourne, Florida. Responsibilities may include but are not
limited to: Performing static, dynamic, and DaDT structural
analyses of metallic and composite airframe structure, mechanical
systems, and equipment, by hand and by using the automated methods
and procedures approved for the program Ensuring that designs meet
program requirements and are the lightest, lowest cost, and highest
quality products consistent with schedule and budget objectives.
May derive non-flight applied loads, create, extract, and
distribute internal loads and perform weight and stiffness
optimization utilizing tools such as FEMAP, NX, Teamcenter and
other software applications Candidate must be able to collaborate
in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish
the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or
accomplish them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex
problems and develop solutions. This requisition may be filled as
either a Principal Structural Engineer (level 3) or Senior
Principal Structural Engineer (level 4) level based on the
qualifications below. Basic Qualifications: Principal Structural
Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with
a minimum of 5 years’ experience to include a background in
aerospace structural analysis; or Master’s degree in a Science,
Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an
accredited university and 3 years’ experience to include a
background in aerospace structural analysis Sr Principal Structural
Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with
a minimum of 8 years’ experience to include a background in
aerospace structural analysis Or Master’s degree in a Science,
Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an
accredited university and 6 years’ experience to include a
background in aerospace structural analysis Your ability to obtain
and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government
Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the
position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the
company Preferred Qualifications: Structural Analysis Experience in
any of the following areas: Airframe, Crew Systems, Subsystems,
and/or Structural Integrity Active, in-scope DoD Secret clearance
or higher Primary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00 The above
salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop
Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary
offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and
the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market
conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible
for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance
