Experience in Level II Trauma Center required - Proficient or
Expert in Neurological and Cardiovascular sections of PACU skills
assessment - Ability to titrate drips required - Willingness to
rotate to phase II PACU outpatient discharge when needed - Must be
within 30 minutes of the hospital to take call Description:
Position available for a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia
Care Unit. Variable start time options include 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Call is required Monday to Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM with 2-4
calls within a 6-week period. Weekend call, if needed, can be
either 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM approximately once
a month. Float, holiday, and hurricane duty are required per
hospital policy for travelers. The RN will be expected to float to
all required facilities. Weekend shifts are required every other
weekend or a total of six weekend shifts per 6-week period, based
on unit needs. The staff-to-patient ratio is 1:2. Documentation
system is SCM. Orientation will consist of 16 hours of training.
Solid color scrubs are required. References from authority figures
within the last year must be provided. Flu vaccination is required
during designated dates with medical or religious exemptions
accepted only. COVID-19 vaccination is required with medical or
religious exemptions accepted only. Background checks will be
conducted prior to offer. Candidates with educational backgrounds
from specified institutions will not be considered.
