Position: Epilepsy Neurologist - Location: Jacksonville, FL - Full-time, permanent position Overview: A leading Neurology Department is seeking a Neurologist with expertise in tertiary-level epilepsy care to join its growing practice. The ideal candidate will have subspecialty training in epilepsy and a strong clinical and research focus. Practice Highlights: Responsibilities include staffing an epilepsy clinic, a 7-bed epilepsy monitoring unit, and interpreting routine and hospital-based EEG and continuous EEG monitoring. Involvement in intraoperative electrocorticography, Phase 2 epilepsy surgery evaluations, subdural and stereo-EEG evaluations, and electrical brain stimulation for functional brain mapping. Opportunities for research and medical education as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Active involvement in the education of medical students, residents, research trainees, and fellows. Rich environment for clinical and translational research with established collaborations across multiple sites. Seeking a candidate who brings enthusiasm and new ideas to the practice. Qualifications: Board-certified in Neurology and Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology. Clinical neurophysiology training with an emphasis on EEG and direct experience in routine and complex neurophysiology. Experience in the presurgical evaluation of patients with drug-resistant epilepsy. Strong clinical skills and a track record of academic success in research and medical education. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
