Job Description Job Description Description: East Coast Surgery Center is a growing, state-of-the-art, Ambulatory Surgery Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Our team of ten Surgeons, ten Mid-Level Providers and our dynamic clinical team are dedicated to providing compassionate and cutting-edge orthopedic care. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced Operating Room Circulating RN to join our lively team. This position involves daytime shift work; no weekends, no holidays, no call! POSITION EXPECTATIONS: As an Operating Room Circulating RN , you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and sterile environment throughout the surgical procedure and providing care to patients before, during, and after surgery. Other responsibilities of this position include: Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies Ensure all surgical instruments are sterilized and functioning Monitor the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment Assist in positioning the patient safely before the surgery Verify patient information and surgical site before the procedure begins Document all aspects of the surgical procedure in the patient’s chart Coordinate with anesthesia providers to ensure patient safety Manage the flow of the operating room and anticipate the surgical team’s needs Handle specimens taken during surgery and ensure proper labeling and documentation Assess the patient's condition and readiness for discharge from the post-anesthesia care unit Provide emotional support to patients and their families before and after surgery The ideal candidate will be focused on excellent patient care, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. Requirements: Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing Must hold a current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Florida. Current American Heart BLS certification and ACLS/PALS. Prior experience working as a Circulator Full compensation package to include: competitive salary, medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD.
