Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic team, embodying our faith-based commitment to high-quality, innovative healthcare. As a part of our healthcare network, you will play a crucial role in our operating rooms, aiding in the delivery of compassionate, personalized care that Ascension is known for. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our surgical procedures, helping us transform healthcare and improve patient outcomes. Prepare and maintain sterile medical environments before and during surgical procedures. Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations by passing instruments, adjusting equipment, and providing necessary materials. Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols to ensure patient and staff safety. Engage in the operation of autoclaves and other sterilization equipment. Monitor and continually stock operating rooms with necessary surgical supplies and equipment. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care. Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures. Support patient preparation for surgery by washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites. Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control standards. Ability to handle surgical instruments and equipment with precision. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork. Attention to detail for accurate surgical assistance and documentation. Capability to respond appropriately under pressure and in emergency situations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
