Job Description:
HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a highly skilled
and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Critical Care Float
Pool team, delivering excellence in patient care across various
critical care units. In this role, the RN will be pivotal in
managing patient care in high-acuity, specialized environments
including ICU, CCU, and other intensive treatment areas. This
position requires a dynamic nurse capable of adjusting to different
clinical settings and patient needs, ensuring high standards of
healthcare are consistently maintained. Our facility provides a
state-of-the-art environment where advanced medical practices and
innovative care techniques are at the forefront, tailored to
enhance patient recovery and outcomes. Provide direct and
individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of
scientific nursing principles. Float among various critical care
units to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the
treatment of patients. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or
changes in patients' conditions while maintaining accurate and
detailed records. Operate and monitor medical equipment as
necessary and assist in the performance of diagnostic tests and
analyses. Administer medications, track vaccinations, and observe
reactions. Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate
continuity of patient care and advocate for the patient's and
family's best interests. Provide education and support to patient
families, focusing on critical care procedures, potential recovery
trajectories, and prevention techniques. Advanced practice in
multiple critical care modalities Expertise in high-acuity patient
health assessment Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR)
systems Strong crisis management and decision-making skills Ability
to adapt and swiftly transition between various clinical settings

Florida Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced
