HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Melbourne, Florida. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro ICU / Surgical ICU Location: Melbourne, FL 32901 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 3x12-Hour Shifts (Schedule determined by unit need) | 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-acuity critical care to Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU patients with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. - Perform comprehensive patient assessments, continuous monitoring, and timely interventions. - Manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical drips. - Administer medications and titrate infusions per ICU protocols. - Respond to emergency situations and participate in rapid response and code events. - Float to ICU units across all four affiliated hospitals as needed for staffing support. - Participate in hurricane season staffing (Pre- and Post-storm coverage as required). - Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record system. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Required Qualifications: - Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience (Neuro ICU and/or Surgical ICU required). - Active Florida RN License or Compact RN License (must be active at time of submission; pending license not accepted). - Previous travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted). - Two professional references (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) from within the last year. - Ability to float across multiple facilities as required. Current Certifications: - BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) – Required - Influenza Vaccine (required during 10/31–3/31 season; medical/religious exemptions only) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience floating between multiple acute care hospitals. - Flexibility with block scheduling (subject to manager approval).
