This full-time role combines direct clinical care in cardiothoracic surgery with strategic leadership and oversight responsibilities across the NGPG practices and the NGHS service line. Why Join Us? With five hospital campuses and a network of over 1,300 providers, NGHS is committed to delivering exceptional care through: • Clinical excellence across a comprehensive range of specialties • Innovative technology and forward-thinking approaches to patient care • A collaborative culture that empowers physicians and providers • A mission-driven focus that prioritizes patients and strengthens communities • We are committed to improving the health of our community in all we do Opportunity Overview: • Lead strategic planning and clinical operations for Cardiothoracic Surgery across NGPG and NGHS • Collaborate with senior leadership to meet program goals, in quality, access and efficiency • Guide physician performance, onboarding, mentoring, and professional development • Oversee adherence to program accreditation, safety standards, and evidence-based practices • Drive OR optimization, cost-effective supply utilization, and patient satisfaction initiatives • Represent the service line in committees and at hospital/community events Working together with Physicians leaders like you: • MD/DO with Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery • Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience required • Proven experience as a service line leader or medical director • GA medical license and DEA (or eligibility) • Strong leadership, communication and collaborative skills • Clinical quality improvement experience preferred About NGPG Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG), one of the largest multi-specialty groups in Georgia, brings together more than 650 talented physicians and advanced practitioners representing 35 specialties at over 80 locations.
