Job Description:
As a PRN (Pro re nata) Certified Respiratory Therapist at HCA
Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in our patient care team,
providing advanced respiratory care services in various settings
within our extensive network of facilities. You will work under the
direction of physicians and alongside nurses and other healthcare
professionals to administer respiratory care and life support to
patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary
system. This position offers the flexibility to fill staffing gaps
and provide coverage on an as-needed basis, without standard
full-time hours or benefits, which allows for a high degree of
work-life balance. Assess and treat patients with breathing
disorders and cardiopulmonary issues. Administer and manage oxygen
therapies, aerosol medications, and mechanical ventilator support.
Perform diagnostic tests such as evaluating lung capacity and
analyzing blood samples to determine levels of oxygen and other
gases. Educate patients and their families on lung health and
treatment plans. Maintain patient records and communicate with
healthcare teams to adjust therapeutic programs. Proficient in
using various types of respiratory care equipment. Strong
analytical skills for patient assessment and diagnostics. Effective
communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and
healthcare teams. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
credential mandatory. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
preferred. Active state licensure as a Respiratory Care
Practitioner.
