looking for a Facilities Engineer Level 2/3 to work in our
Facilities and Maintenance group at our facility located in
Melbourne, FL . Description & responsibilities: The primary
functions of this Facilities Engineering role are concerned with
the reliability and operational efficiency of a large,
interconnected campus of over a dozen buildings consisting of
office, manufacturing, lab, and support spaces. A successful
performer in this role must have the ability to execute the
functions below at a high level: Interact with maintenance
technicians to troubleshoot issues. Specifically function as a
subject matter expert on Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and
Building Automation / Controls. Support project engineers to review
plans for new builds and modifications to existing infrastructure,
ensuring commonality and compatibility with existing
infrastructure, maintainability, suitability for stated need and
environment. Support our current facility and planned growth in all
aspects of construction, modification, operation and production.
This position works to ensure that all equipment performs optimally
and maintains a high level of uptime. There is considerable
latitude for independent action and decision making within various
disciplines and with a multitude of internal and external parties.
Help to ensure that the correct preventative maintenance procedures
are in place and recommend all necessary spare parts to keep the
plant operational on a 24/7 basis. Develop and implement machine
monitoring strategy to support reliability centered maintenance to
predict machine failures before they happen using vibration,
temperature, and other variable analysis. Prepare presentations and
reports detailing the Operational Equipment Effectiveness on all
machines assigned. Aid in developing standard specifications for
all future equipment purchases. Ensure adherence to sector-driven
goals, priorities, and initiatives, participating with
cross-functional teams. Serve as primary contact for maintaining a
living document to track all capital and indirect project needs.
Specific tasks include identifying needs, performing risk
assessment, generating estimated costs and preliminary project
scopes, and furnishing appropriate details to leadership and for
cross-departmental coordination to support the Facilities long
range strategic plan (LRSP). Manage vendors, primarily building
controls contractors and occasional mechanical, electrical,
plumbing, or general contractors. Work alongside in-house project
engineers and contractors to ensure seamless integration, start up,
and fine-tuning of our systems to meet customer requirements and
project specifications. This position may be filled as either a
level 2 Facilities Engineer or level 3 Principal Facilities
Engineer depending on qualification below Basic Qualifications
Facilities Engineer (Level 2): Bachelor of Science degree in STEM
discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) with 2 years
of experience in the following engineering fields: Reliability,
Manufacturing, Maintenance, Aerospace, Electrical, Aeronautical,
Mechanical, Controls or a Master’s degree in STEM. Must have an
understanding of infrastructure risk assessment processes.
Experience in Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint. Experience with
Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. Must have ability to
work with minimal supervision Must have the ability to obtain a DoD
Secret US Clearance. Basic Qualifications Principal Facilities
Engineer (Level 3): Bachelor of Science degree in STEM discipline
(Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) with 5 years of
experience in the following engineering fields: Reliability,
Manufacturing, Maintenance, Aerospace, Electrical, Aeronautical,
Mechanical, Controls or a Master’s degree in STEM discipline with 3
years of experience in mentioned fields OR; PhD in STEM discipline
with 1 year of experience in mentioned fields. Must have
demonstrated experience with infrastructure risk assessment
processes. Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint. Must
have demonstrated experience working with Building Automation
Systems. Proficient in the use and utilization of computerized
maintenance management systems. Must have ability to work with
minimal supervision Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret US
Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience as an operator and
administrator of Building Automation Systems (Trane Tracer,
Tridium). Experience in Reliability Engineering. Experience with
Industrial IoT technology/FMMS. Experience in installing and
commissioning industrial equipment. Familiarity with multiple
construction disciplines. Ability to obtain and maintain Special
Program Access. Experience with hydronics system design and
operations, specifically large chilled water cooling systems
(greater than 1000 tons), including centrifugal pumps, water- and
air-cooled chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment, automated
valves, air management, Variable Frequency Drives. Experience with
large commercial air handling equipment. Experience with large
refrigerant-based cooling equipment. Experience with large-scale
electrical infrastructure, to include primary utility power,
transformers and power distribution gear, Uninterruptable Power
Supply, Diesel Generators, 400Hz power. Competencies for Success:
Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to make quick,
calculated decisions based on past experiences and limited
information. Experience with conflict resolution and negotiating
skills. Experience to manage time and multi-task. Experience to
solve problems. Experience performing Root Cause Corrective Action.
Experience performing PFMEA analysis. Experience working
independently and using judgment to make appropriate decisions that
support overall project objectives. Experience driving projects and
processes. Experience to partner with leadership at all levels.
Experience to troubleshoot problems and resolve issues is a short
time frame. Experience analyzing data via excel and other database

$108,100.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however,
Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining
base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the
position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and
current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may
be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary
bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to
reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share
in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director
positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition,
